Abstract
Empowerment in the workplace is the process of enabling or authorizing an individual to think, behave and take actions, control work and decision-making capabilities in autonomous ways. Organizations that create a working environment can foster the ability and desire of employees to act in autonomous ways which will develop the empowerment sense. Nurses' innovative work behavior is essential in management such as suggestion programs and continuous improvement and innovation is a crucial factor that allows companies to survive in a highly competitive and globalized world.
The present study aimed at identifying the relationship between workplace empowerment and innovative work behavior among staff nurses in Ain Shams University Hospital through: assessing workplace empowerment among staff nurses, assessing innovative work behavior among staff nurses and identifying the relationship between workplace empowerment and innovative work behavior among staff nurses.
