ASSESSMENT OF THE NUTRITIONAL STATUS FOR THE WORKERS IN SOME FAYOUM GOVERNORATE FACTORIES

Abstract


This work was carried out on 120 workers chosen randomly from three different factories of F ayoum governorate.
The aim of this study is to:
- Evaluate the dietary intake of factory workers compared to
RDA.
- Determine anthropometric measurement of workers under investigation.
- Assess socioeconomic status of workers as a factor influencing nutrition.
- Study the effect of work status on the nutritional status of workers
- Evaluate the effect of health status on the nutritional status of workers.
- Study hemoglobin and hematocrit as affected by the working factories of Fayoum governorate.
The data were collected from three different types of factories according to different socio-economic levels:
• Coca Cola factory.

• F ayoum cereal mill.

• Ceramic El-Farana.
Nutritional status of workers was determined, according to dietary intake and compared with RDA, also anthropometric measurements with studied and compared with ideal.
