Abstract


In Egypt, pest control is necessaiyor ado food to meet the increasing needs of our ever Pesticides may be used effective and at the same injury to the plant on which they used.
This work was carried out to study:
1 - The behavior and persistence of two insecticide s widely used in Egypt namely profenofos and fenitrothion to control many economic pests on vegetable crops. In this stuc y cucumber fruits were planted under greenhouse conditions at re commended rate (144 and 187.5 grams active ingredient per 10( liters of water, respectively.). Fruit samples were taken at different periods after treatments representing each treatment, beside washed after taken one hour and one day after the following points:
1- Evaluation of extraction, clean up and determination processes for tested insecticides and the estimation of the percentage of recovery on cucumber fruits.
2- The behavior and persistence of tested insecticides residues on and in cucumber fruits.
