Abstract


The effect of iontophoresis on fluoride acquisition by primary and permanent ename] was tested using the 2 most commonly used topical fluoridating agents sodium fluoride and acidulated phosphate fluoride in their preferable gel form. A total of 160 enamel samples were used in
this study such that 80 samples were obtained from deciduous teeth and 80 from permanent teeth. Samples from both deciduous and permanent teeth were divided into 2 equal groups,
