Universal Precautions for Infection Control in Health Care Centers in Shoubra El Kheimah

Abstract

Health centers acquired infections are a worldwide problem, leading causes of death. Infection defines as a condition caused by invasion of the body or a body part by pathogenic organisms which multiplies and produces harmful effects on the body's tissues.And infection control defines as the program of diseases surveillance, generally within health care facilities, designed to investigate,prevent and control the spread of infections and their causative microorganisms, common purpose related to the health, performance goal and approach for which they hold themselves accountable. Aim of the study: This study aims to evaluate Universal Precautions for Infection Control in Health Care Centers in Shoubra El Kheimah through: • Measure of the nurse's knowledge and practices to the standard precautions of infection control measures. • Evaluate the environmental structure of health care center.
