BIOASSAY STUDIES FOR ASSESSMENT OF THE EFFECTS OF SOME PESTICIDES ON TILAPIA ZILII LIVING IN FRESH AND SALINE WATER

Abstract

Fishes represent one of the most important sources of animal protein for humans, particularly in the developing countries that are suffering fron> food shortage and over population. This source of protein can be affected by different pollutants (e g pesticides) which are drained into natural source of water organophosphorus and carbamate pesticides are used in killing the undesirable weeds and pests either in crops or in water streams.
