Role Ambiguity and its Influence on Job Stress among Newly Staff Nurses

Abstract
Role ambiguity is an obstacle that newly staff nurses may facing in a hospital, leading to a negative outcome on patient care, and may result in job stress which leads to dissatisfaction, a syndrome of mental and physical exhaustion involving negative self-concept, negative job attitude and less self-confidence.
This study was aimed to assess the relationship between role ambiguity and job stress among newly staff nurses. A descriptive correlational design was used in this study. The study was conducted at three general hospitals (critical and noncritical units) which affiliated to directorate of health affairs in the Alexandria governorate.
The subject of the study was included 130 new staff nurses were selected out from 285, inclusion criteria nurses works less than one year. Data was collected by two tools namely role ambiguity questionnaire, this tool consisted of two parts as personal characteristics of staff nurses such as
