The Relationship between Quality of Work Life and Organizational Citizenship Behavior among Staff Nurses

Abstract


Quality of work life affects subordinates' OCB positively and this positive relationship is stronger among subordinates who define OCB as extra-role behavior compared with subordinates who define OCB as in-role behavior (Sari and Susilo, 2018). QWL was positively related to in-role performance, and it was positively associated with extra-role performance such as organizational citizenship behaviors (Daughter, 2018).
This study aimed at identifying the relationship between quality of work life and organizational citizenship behavior among staff nurses through assessing quality of work life among staff nurses, assessing organizational citizenship behavior among staff nurses, and finding out the relationship between quality of work life and organizational citizenship Behaviors among staff nurses.
Descriptive correlation design was used in carrying out this study. The study was conducted at Bahteem Central Hospital which affiliated to Ministry of Health. Study subjects were 90 staff nurses. Data was collected by two
