ASSESSMENT OF MYOCARDIAL CIRCULATORY FLOW RESERVE IN HYPERTENSIVE PATIENTS : A CONTRAST ECHOCARDIOGRAPHIC STUDY.
MONA ADEL EL-SAYED EL-SAIDY;
Abstract
revious studies have shown that hypertension is associated with decreased coronaiy flow reserve( CFR) . Myocardial contrast echo (MCE) yields measures of refilling rate (bparameter) which correlate with myocardial blood flow . The change in b induced by adenosine ADN provides an estimate of CFR. No data exist regarding the measurement of CFR by MCE in hypertensive patients . Therefore , we measured CFR by MCE in normals and hypertensives , and correlated these values to flow mediated brachialreactivity (BART).
