“New Analytical Method Based on Lanthanide Luminescence for Assessment of Activity of Some Glands in Human Body”
Mostafa Mohamed Mohamed Ahmed Elsaady;
Abstract
A New photoprobe based on tris(3-acetylindole) terbium (III) complex (TbAcI) doped in polyethylene glycol (PEG) thin-film was synthesized, characterized, and employed as a novel, simple, sensitive, accurate, and precise method for the determination of Epinephrine (EPI) in different serum samples. The Thin-film consisting of nano sol-gel TbAcI complex doped in PEG was characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results obtained from the Stern-Volmer bimolecular quenching analysis was attributed to the presence of EPI in the surrounding of the emissive TbAcI. The calibration plot was prepared for the concentration range of 1-1500 pg/mL of EPI with a correlation coefficient of 0.99 and a detection limit of 0.1 pg/mL.
Here, we report on and discuss the molecular structure of the interacting species using DFT and TD-DFT. Quenching begins at 14 fs when EPI-TbAcI distance is about 3.22 Å.
Also, in chapter three we use Eu(TTA)3phen as a novel, simple, sensitive, accurate, and precise method for the determination of cortisol human blood samples. The proposed method offers rapid, low cost, simple, sensitive and selective method for the quantitative determination of CRT hormone with a liner range over 0.3 – 22000 µg/L with a low limit of detection (LOD = 0.2 µg/L) and low limit of quantification (LOQ = 0.63 µg/L).
