Fibrin Tissue Adhesive in Patients under Oral Anticoagulant Therapy
Khaled Ahmed Ahmed Mohamed;
Abstract
The management of patients chronically on OAT and who require oral surgery procedures is still controversial. When dental extraction in such patient is indicated, various protocols have been suggested: decreasing the level of anticoagiilation, substituting hepann for oral anticoagulant and
temporarily discontinuing the anticoagulant. Obviously, these approaches are not risk free and require close monitoring and hospitalization; besides the fact that they are expensive.
