PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF HEAT EXCHANGERS CONSIDERING FOULING EFFECT

HANAN EL-SAYED MOUSSA EL-SAYED;

Abstract

he formation of the scaling deposits on the heat transfer surface "fouling" represents an additional thermal resistance to heat transfer which reduces the thermal-hydraulic performance of heat
transfer equipment. Clear reliable knowledge about the influence of design parameters on the heat exchanger fouling must be available.Theoretical mathematical modeling and simulation that can predict the performance of the heat transfer equipment for longer periods of
operation reduces time and expense of experimental work.
