Abstract


Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is the first shining example of the success of endoscopic surgery within a very few years after its introduction, this method was able to replace the traditional cholecystectomy as the procedure of choice for management of symptomatic cholelithiasis.
The improvement of video laparoscopy has mad possible this technique for the performance of any type of cholecystectomy, leading to an increased finding of anatomical and clinical picture of particular technical difficulty, as well as an increased risk of intraoperative complications.
