Study of Serum Leptin in type 2 Diabetic Patients with Nephropathy

Abstract


iabetic nephropathy is one of the complications of diabetes mellitus which lead to end-stage renal disease. One of mediators implicated in the development of DN is leptin. Measurement of scrum leptin and its study in type 2 diabetic patient with nephropathy. This study included 75 known type 2 diabetic patients and tendency subjects as a control group. All members of study were subjected to:
• Through history and clinical examination including funds examination and BMI. • Laboratory investigation included fasting blood sugar, Postprandial blood sugar HbAiCi serum creatinine clearance, serum leptin, serum insulin, and microalbuminuria. • Imaging technique included conventional ultrasound.
