Abstract

The aim of combustion studies is to obtain the optimum conditions for the efficient use of fuel with low pollution and the ability to fire a variaty of fuels depending on fuel economics and availability.
The present work was earned out on a water - cooled combustion chamber to study the flame sttructure, heat transfer and heat liberation downstream of a flame stabilizer. The gaseous fuel used is the commerical butane gas (butagas) 8-2 Conclusions: The main conclusions obtained from the present experimental work are: 1 - It was found that the stabilizer blockage ratio has a great effect on flame structure (temperature distribution and visible flame length ), heat transfer,
heat flux, enthalpy of gases and total heat liberation
