MICROBIOLOGICAL STUDIES ON CAMP7L0BACTER ORGANISMS IN CALVES
Amena Maher Ibrahim Hendy;
Abstract
In the present study, the bacteriological examination was carried out on 668 calves either showing intestinal disorders or apparently normal. The occurrence of (lampylohaclers reached 106 cases with cumulative recovery rate reached 15.9%. It was found that out of 275 apparently normal examined calves, 42 cases proved to harbour Campylohacter species with an incidence of 15.3%. In the mean time, out of 393 diseased calves, 64 animals were found to contain Campylobacters
with an incidence of 16.2%. In the present work, there was no significant variation in the incidence of Campylohacter species either from apparently normal and diarrhoeic calves. Out of 275 apparently normal calves 42 cases (15.3%) harboured Campylobacter
with an incidence of 16.2%. In the present work, there was no significant variation in the incidence of Campylohacter species either from apparently normal and diarrhoeic calves. Out of 275 apparently normal calves 42 cases (15.3%) harboured Campylobacter
