Abstract


Summary: The mountainous Architecture is a different type of architecture where the diversity of architectural construction methods. The mountainous places characterized by unique features and many determinate which have relocated to the buildings. These distinctive are difficult to be used in the plains. The mountainous architecture is characterized by its own uniqueness solutions to suit the topography and its determinants. Therefore, the study of the site location and the available resources contributes in the choice of the optimal model design. The proposed model for the study is to improve Daylight with achieving thermal comfort using negative methods. The integration was carried out using the simulation methods to design a model that provides thermal comfort and penetrate good levels of Daylight in Taba, Egypt.
