SENSORLESS ADVANCED CONTROL OF PERMANENT MAGNET DRIVE SYSTEM

Mohamed Ibrahim Ibrahim Abu El-Sebah;

Abstract

This work presents a new method for rotor position detection and speed estimation of permanent magnet synchronous machines. Information is obtained by monitoring controller signals to eliminate position and speed sensors. Also the research presents a multi-degree of freedom (MDOF) speed controller applied to PMSM. The new proposed method is applied to PMSM using fuzzy logic controller. The multi-degree of freedom controller is designed to yield good speed command tracking and ensure easy implementation via simple algorithm
