STUDIES ON THE PATHOLOGICAL AFFECTIONS OF THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM OF SLAUGHTERED RUMINANT AT ALEXANDRIA PROVINCE

Abstract
The present study was performed in order to investigate the
various affeciions which may occur m the lymphoid organs of
slaughtered ruminant sxrimaJs at Alexandria province. The aim in this
work was to detect and describe the observed affections not TO make
survey for these cases. The examined cases reached to a FOJFJ number
of 25450 ruminant animals (6260 buffaloes, 1500 cows, 2840 buffalo-
calves, 6400 cow-calves and 8450 sheep). These animals were
slaughtered at Abdel-Khader slaughterhouse, Alexandria Province.
During the routine inspection for these slaughtered animals any
lymphatic affections in either lymph nodes or spleen were recorded,
described and subjected for specimen collection and following
histopathologic techniques for examination.
