Abstract


Hypertrophic scars represent overgrowth of dense fibrous tissue as a
result of an exaggerated wound healing response of !ne skin JoJIowjng
trauma Clinically, they are usually slightly raised, erytfiematous,
tender, linear elevations within the boundaries of the wound(3) and tend to
subside spontaneously within 6 months
