Abstract
This paper discusses the operation of a Multi-Terminal HVDC (MTDC) system employing Voltage Source Converters (VSC) technology using PSCAD/EMTDC. Vector control is used to maintain constant DC voltage and active power control. The study will focus on the normal operation of a three terminal Voltage Source Converter (VSC) HVDC system under different conditions to make sure that the three VSC stations are working properly and can deliver power in both directions under constant DC voltage. The steady state and dynamic response of the converter stations active power and DC voltage ripples will be observed upon changing DC side capacitor size
