The main purpose of this thesis is to analyze the primary concepts of deontic logic by presenting deontic logic systems of Von Wright.
This research highlights the difference between concept of deontic logic and other ethical concepts.
This thesis also presents the first system of deontic logic introduced by Von Wright in 1951. He founded this system (classical system) on the primary idea and undefined modality known as “permission”. In light of that, he defined the remaining modalities.
