Abstract


Stability of compressible streaming
uid cylinder of radius R0 af-
fected by surface tension and pervaded by axial magnetic eld has been
developed, the dispersion relation is established in general form we found
out that the model is capillary unstable only in the axisymmetric mode
m = 0, the electromagnetic forces acting inside and outside the
uid
cylinder has stabilizing e ect and the magnetohydrydrodynamic sta-
bility is destabilizing for small wave length. In the latter case the in-
stability shrinks with increasing the magnetic intensity. However the
compressibility has a stabilizing e ect and the streaming has destabiliz-
ing e ect. This study has applications in
uid mechanics, astrophysics
and in pumping oil.
