Abstract
The article is dedicated to the analysis of the functioning of the noun conflict in the Russian language material on media texts and Internet resources. The dynamics of development of the conflict is investigated in the last decade on the lexical-semantic, textual and grammatical levels. The composition of the semantic structure of the conflict is analysed using a number of dictionaries of the Russian language. Different cases of its metaphorical usage, and examples of its development potential of word-formation, which indicate the approval of the "conflict" of reality in the XXI century are considered. Such an analysis would be of interest to specialists in the field of lexicology and lexicography of the Russian language. The analysis can be employed in the preparation of dictionaries and textbooks of Collocations of the Russian lexicon.
