Abstract
One of the key concepts of cognitive linguistics our time is the concept of freedom. About Freedom talk all classes of society. All require freedom. Yet freedom can not be regarded as an ideal one for all communities. Every culture puts its "parameters" of the concept of freedom.
The concept of freedom with the semantic-cognitive perspective has undergone in recent years, major changes related to psychological and mental orientation of carriers of the two cultures under study, which expanded its semantic and syntactic features. In this paper we attempt to analyze the linguistic means by which introduced the concept of freedom in the minds of Russian and Arabic, to consider scheme of connotations and associations connected with this concept
