Premature ovarian failure (POF) is a heterogenous syndrome defined
as hypoestrogenic hypergonadotropic secondary amenorrhea that occurs
in women under the age of 40 years. It is characterized by loss of oocytes,
lack of folliculogenesis and ovarian estrog
