IL-16 originally named lymphocyte chemoattractant factor is a CD8+ T cell derived cytokine (also produced by monocytes, oesinophils, respiratory epithelium, fibroblasts and other cells). that induces chemotoxis of CD4+ T cells, monocytes and eosinophils.
