Preparation of TiO2-SiC>2 aerogel and xerogel via sol-gel technique by dissolving titanium (IV) isopropoxide (TTIP) and tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) has been achieved. The optimum conditions for preparation of TiCVSiCh gel are Ti: Si mole ratio is 1: 6
