Dr. Howayda Hassan Ali El Sherif is an Assistant Professor of English Literature at the Faculty of Women for Arts, Sciences and Education, Ain Shams University, Egypt. She earned her PhD in English Literature in 2018 with distinction, focusing on the intersection of tradition and modernity in African drama. Her scholarly work engages themes of cultural identity, postcolonial discourse, and African literature, with publications in the Journal of scientific Research in Arts exploring authors such as Credo Mutwa, Ama Ata Aidoo, and Shakespeare. In addition to her teaching portfolio—which includes courses on drama, Shakespeare, and essay writing—Dr. El Sherif actively contributes to academic development through her roles in the department’s quality assurance team, community engagement committee, and the Academic Research Circle (ARC). A dedicated educator and researcher, she is also a certified English language instructor and has participated in numerous academic conferences and workshops focused on literature, linguistics, and translation.
