Biography
Associate Professor & Consultant of Geriatrics at Ain-Shams University.
Co-director of Ain-Shams Aging Brain Initiative, co-founder and director of the cognitive training lab.
Dr Heba Tawfik is a Consultant, clinician, and researcher in the field of Geriatrics for years and is an Associate Professor in the Geriatric department at Ain-Shams University. She has many years of experience in the management of dementia, memory, and cognitive disorders, and working in memory clinics. She participated in the translation and validation of the Arabic version of Addenbrooke's Cognitive Examination III (ACE III), the construction of the Mini-ACE III test, and the innovation of the Ain-Shams cognitive assessment (ASCA) scale to suit the educated and illiterate Arabic-speaking elderly population. She is one of the co-founders and director of the cognitive training lab in the Geriatric department at the end of 2019, which is the first cognitive training lab in Egypt. She is now the director of the memory clinic in the Geriatric department at Ain-Shams University.
