Pacemaker Syndrome ; Detecting Patients at Risk and Assessment of Adverse Hemodynamic Effects by Transesophageat Echocardiography
Khalid Mohamed Toaima;
Abstract
The current study aimed at evaluating the role of transesophageal echocardiography in detecting patients at risk for de' eloping pacemaker syr.drome through studying echo Doppler indices of left atrial filling during DDD & VVI pacing
From the study, we can conclude the following:
• Irrespective of presence or absence of retrograde VA conduction, hemodynamic changes associated with VVI pacing compnse, decreased antegrade pulmonary venous flow with increased beat to beat variability and increased retrograde pulmonary venous flow.
