Abstract

From this study we can conclude that:


The, most common cause of injwy is road traffic accident which is accounted for 50%,

2. Males were the most frequent victims of facial bone ti•actures with a male to female ratio approaching 3,6:1,
3. Patients in the third decade of life were the most vulnerable to facial bone fractures

4. There is intimate relation between the cause of traLima and the severity of the facial fi'actures,
5. Spoils and industrial inturies were represented only with males,
6. Head injuries are the most common associated injuries with facial bone ti,actures

7 The scat be it has great value on decreasing the severity of the fi1c1ai fi'actures ancl avoiding the associated head injuries,
8 The SLIItllttcr months brought the highest incidenc,e of facial bone fractures.
