Factors Re!Gted To Disability In Egyptian Rheumatoid Patients

Abstract


We round that there are mafiy factors that might affect the outcome and disability these are, age of the patient, the time at which the patients presented at our department, duration of disease, the introduction of steroids in the management of the disease, educational level, economical status, employment status, positive CRP & ESR and the presence of associated illness. All these factors can alter the outcome and detennine it, other factors were thought to affect the outcome such as marital status the presence of+ ve RF, extra-articular manifestation, types of affected joints, positive family history arid the introduction of basic therapy for the treatment of the disease but all these factors have been
proved by this study not to alter the functional outcome.
