EFFECT OF REPETITIVE TRANSCRANIAL MAGNETIC STIMULATION IN PARKINSON'S DISEASE
ISLAM HASSAN AMINE;
Abstract
Background: Cortical excitability of the primary motor cortex is abnormally Jccre:.tscd in patients with PD. Therefore, increasing cortical excitability by high frequency rTMS of the motor cortex might results in beneficial effects on motor functions in PD.
Objecti>•e: To study the effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) of
the motor cortex on motor functions in patients with Parkinson's disease (PO).
