PATTERN AND INCIDENCE OF PEDIATRIC SURGICAL EMERGENCIES IN CAIRO UNIVERSITY CHILDREN HOSPITAL

AHMED ELHAM AHMED FARES;

Abstract

Pediatric surgical emergencies are common conditions which call for prompt diagnosis and treatment. Diagnostic errors, on the initial assessment, may lead to unnecessary surgical intervention and at most to death of the patient. Meanwhile, protracted clinical illness due to development of complications can be avoided by earlier surgical intervention.
