THE EFFECT OF SOCIO - ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL FACTORS ON THE NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF CHILDREN ( 7 - 10 YEARS)

Abstract

Nutrition has a fundemental role in human health specially the vulnerable groups such as children . There are many factors that affect the nutritional status of individuals .

This study is carried out to :-

1- Study the social status of children 7 - 10 years .

2- Determine the economical status of school children 7 - 1 0 years .

3-Assess the nutritional status of school children 7 - 10 years .

4- Find out the correlation between the previous variables and the nutritional status of school children . This study was carried out to assess the nutritional status of some primary school children in Nasr city . A study of (207) primary school children were randomly selected from three different types school of (Governmental, Experimental and private schools) . From each type of school (68 child , 70 child and 69 child were selected ) . The age of children was between ( 7 : 10 years ) . For each child data related to many parameter were collected.
