THE DETECTION OF HELICOBACTER PYLORI ANTIBODIES IN LYMPHOMA PATIENTS

Abstract
Lymphomas are a heterogeneous group of neoplastic disorders originating from the immune system usually originate in the lymph nodes but may originate in any organ of the body. 75% arise from celis ofB Iineage and 25% arise from the cells ofT-lineage. There is a number of exposures and/or disease states that are associated with increased risk of developing non Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Owing to its heterogeneity in site and different cell types, several infectious agent may contribute to this nature of lymphoma. The aim of the this study is to find the seroprevelance of Helicobacter pylori and Hepatitis C virus infection among pediatric lymphoma cases and to compare it with normal children of the same socio-economic status and to
correlate it with the site, stage and type of lymphoma.
