Assessment of Knowledge Attitude and Practice of Parents of School Age Enuretic Children

Abstract
Night-time bed wetting is one of the common problems encountered by primary health care workers, pediatricians and psychiatricans, enuresis affects not only the child, but also the entire family and may adversely affect the parent child relationship as a source of tension and emotionai stress for he both parents need to be particularly mindful of the way they approach and interact with their enuretic children.
Aim of the Study :
This study aims at assessing the parent's knowledge, attitude and practice related to their enuretic child.
Subjects and Methods :
To achieve the purpose of the study, data were collected through use of an interviewing questionnaire (consists of 47 questions) that was designed by the researcher for the purpose of assessment of parent's knowledge, attitude and practice toward enuresis data were collected by interviewing the parents of enuretic children (mainly mothers) who were found to accompany their enuretic children at the Outpatient Clinic of the Institute of Psychiatry, Ain Shams University.
