EMAN AHMED SOBHY ISMAIL;
Abstract
Physiological studies on Beaucarnea recurvata
This study was carried out at the Experimental Station, Faculty of Agriculture at Moshtohor, Zagazig University, Benha Branch, during the seasons 2000/2001 and 200112002.
The study was divided into three experiments as follows:
• The first experiments: aimed to study the effects of ascorbic acids, citric acid and methanol on vegetative growth and chemical contents of Beaucarnea recurvata.
• The second experiment: aimed to study the effect of ammonium nitrate, potassium sulphate and their interaction on vegetative growth and chemical composition of Beaucarnea recurvata.
• The third experiment: aimed to study the different types. of media on vegetative growth and chemical contents of
Beacuarnea recurvata.
First experiment:
1- Effect of Ascorbic acid and citric acid and Methanol.
1 . •
e
Ascorbic acid was used at the rates of 0.5, 1.0 and 2 giL.
Citric acid was used at the rates of0.75, 1.5 and 3g/L.
'•
• Methanol was used at the rates of 50, 100, and 150 cm/L.
