Since 1997,many different models of anterior chamber phakic implants have developed. They were based on the Kelman multiflex implant that has proven effective in the treatment of aphakia; the implants developed have been the ZB, ZB5M and most recently the NuVita MA20.
The posterior chamber plate haptic lens was designed by Fyodorov and the current design is the Implantable Contact Lens manufactured of Collamer.
