Development of LEDLuminaires

Abstract
The goal of the study in this thesis is to develop a new LED luminaire consisting of rectangular arrangement of power LEDs for office lighting. The new luminaire has improved cooling arrangement toreduce its operating temperature. The luminaire is specified, designed, constructed and tested according to custom made measuring methods and setups. The same measurements have been carried out on a commercial luminaire havinganequaloutputlightforsakeofcomparison. Our designis much lighter than the commercial. Here itis proved that with careful design one can further improve the construction of the LEDluminaire.
