SYNTHESIS AND REACTIONS OF SOME HYDRAZINO QUINAZOLINE DERIVATIVES

Abstract
The present work is one of the conducted researches that concerns the synthesis of some nitrogen and/or sulphttr containing heterocyclic having the quinazoline ring system, that might have possible biological and industerial applications.
In this study, Chapter 1 reviews the recent methods for the
preparation of 4(3H)-quinazolinone derivatives and outlines their important reactions. The most recent synthesis of N-and S-glycosides, hydrazones and osazones having quinazoline nucleus are also reviewed. The most famous phannacological and industerial applications of such compounds are also considered.
Chapter 2 deals with the production of some 3-substituted-2-thioxo-
4(3H)-quinazolinones through "one pot" procedure. Reaction of anthranilic acids with primary amines and carbon disulphide in the presence of potassium hydroxide in methanol under reflux conditions afforded various 3-substituted -2-thioxo-4(311)-quinazolinones (1) in good
