Etiology of Bone Marrow Failure
Dina Sameh Shalash;
Abstract
Bone marrow is the target of genetic, autoimmune, and environmental insults, which may affect any of physiological components of hematopoiesis and leads to bone marrow failure. Bone marrow failure may manifest as an isolated failure of one cell line, a single cytopenia or as a failure of all three cell lines (pancytopenia with hypoplastic or aplastic bone marrow).
