Abstract
Novel two Schiff base compounds, their complexes with Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) ions, nanoparticles and nanocomplexes were prepared and characterized by elemental, thermal analysesand spectroscopic techniques. The data showed that complexes have octahedral geometry and square planner geometry.3D Molecular modeling study was reported to gain better insight on the molecular structures of ligands and some of their metal complexes. The ligand and some complexes showed antimicrobial activity against selected kinds of bacteria, yeast and fungi. Their biological activities and anticancer evaluation were studied. They are antibacterial and anticancer materials.
