Abstract
This chapter was devoted to illustrate the practical part of this research . Any idea• for a research should be supported by data . The basic characteristic of this data is that it should be related to the research and its objectives . All research findings will depend on collecting this relevant data, for this purpose they should be collected using an appropriate technique . In this research, the objectives are to identify the attitudes of customers towards purchasing life insurance policies in general and unit-linked policies in particular . This means that we should reach the customers in order to determine their attitudes that affect the purchase decision . Then, it was found that the best way to reach customers and knowing their opinions will be through a personal questionnaire that was proven to be the most preferable regarding its cost and time advantages . Therefore, a questionnaire was designed taking into consideration factors that work on increasing its reliability and validity, such as using easy and simple vocabulary .
Afterwards, this questionnaire will be submitted to the customers who were found to be of two types insureds and non insureds . Reaching every individual whether insured or non insured will not be an applicable so:ution, that is why a sample of each group• was chosen . This sample is random and should represent the•• - population from which it was drawn by its main features . This will help in obtaining reliable, representative and applicable conclusions . Finally, the chapter will be ended by processing this data by proper statistical techniques and models using the aid of some computer packages .
