Natural radioactivity levels for thirty three samples from different regions in southwestern Sinai such as Abu Zarab , Sad Elbanat , Talet Selim and Allouga have been carried out. A HPGe detector was used in the γ-ray spectrometric analysis. also the X-ray fluorescence technique was used for determining the strategic elements that present in the selected samples . Furthermore the radon exhalation rate and effective radium content are estimated in twenty two selected samples by the solid state nuclear track detector (CR-39) . The adopted values of activity concentrations of ²³⁸U, ²³²Th and ⁴⁰K for the samples under investigation are from 103.16±2.47 to 2808.76±19.45 Bq/kg , 11.08±0.85 to 164.89±1.82 Bq/kg and 19.62±0.8 to 918.37±8.75 Bq/kg respectively. The radiation hazard indices (external and internal hazard index), radium equivalent, absorbed dose and outdoor annual effective dose rates were calculated and discussed. Some selected samples were described with respect to their general chemical features by using x- ray fluorescence. It is found that the samples contain considerable strategic
