Development and Implementation of a Multimedia Based System for Self- Learning

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis was the development and implementation of a Multimedia based system for self-learning and to evaluate the effectiveness of the developed system for learning Statistics and its applicable package SPSS as a case study. The system was designed to serve teachers as well as students. Teachers can prepare their lessons and embed the system with explanation, questions, and exams. They can do that by using the system's capabilities of embedding text, video, audio, diagrams, and images. The system helps students to study, it provides them with feedback, correcting their answers, and recording their results. The system also provides them with printed notes to be studied.
