Abstract


Glaucoma is a characteristic optic neuropathy characterized by retinal ganglion cell death, which then leads to retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thinning and optic nerve head (ONH) cupping. The most important risk factor is elevated intraocular pressure.
