Abstract

Vesical neoplasms account for nearly 26.39% of all cancers in Egypt It is the most common tumor in males and the 4th in females preceded by breast, lympho haematopoietic and female genital tract tumors.

The term locally advanced bladder cancer implies either the presence of deep muscle inftltirative disease with confmment to the bladder ,penetration through the muscularis into the perivesical soft tissue or involvement

ofregionallymph nodes"T3,T4".
Since 1962, radical cystectomy has become the treatment option of choice in the management of high invasive bladder cancer as it provides locoregional control of the disease and surgical staging of the primary tumour and regional lymph nodes .

Urinary diversion is an integral part of any surgical operation entailing removal of the bladder. Many forms of urinary diversion has been established however, no method could simulate the natural bladder.

Since Bricker,I 950,popularized the use of an isolated ileal segment as a bladder substitute, the ileal conduit has become the most common type of supra vesical urinary diversion.
