STUDY OF CARBAMYLATED HEMOGLOBIN IN PATIENTS WITH END - STAGE RENAL DISEASE UNDER MAINTENANCE HEMODIALYSIS

Hanan Mohamed Moselhi;

Abstract

Carbamylation is a universal phenomenon affecting many proteins, peptides, amino acids and lipids in physiological control circumstances due to the generation of isocyanate from urea m aqueous solution in the body fluid and cells. In renal failure the increase in urea concentrations is responsible for the increase in carbamylation of hemoglobin, plasma proteins, various hormones and peptides.
